In its path, the destructive Pacific Palisades Fire displaced thousands of school-aged children, rocking the foundation of families and burdening them with tremendous uncertainty. Seven schools in the area were affected, with four completely destroyed, including Marquez Elementary and Palisades Elementary. LAUSD relocated the 410 students who attend Palisades Charter Elementary to the campus of Brentwood Science Magnet and the 312 students who attend Marquez Charter Elementary to Nora Sterry Elementary. With overcrowding and underfunding already existing within the LAUSD ecosystem, these are undoubtedly short-term solutions to year-long, and potentially indefinite, challenges. It is our immediate vision to provide an alternative path for displaced families with school-aged children.

Our goal is to uplift the community and extend a lifeline to those in desperate need. In the face of hardship, we are committed to bringing relief, restoring dignity, and rebuilding lives from the ashes of adversity. It indeed takes a village to change humanity, and the path forward is an abundance of support for a child’s future.
